The boat trips in Italy is a typical and traditional way to discover the islands and the Amalfi Coast’s pearls, and it guarantees to explore the seaside on its best and more hidden part.

The Gems of Neaples: Capri and Ischia

Capri is a small island in Naples’ Bay, famous for its natural beauties, for its luxury Hotels and boutiques known for selling handmade leather sandals.

Walking from the Augustus Gardens, a small paradise of flowers and ancient roman statues facing the sea, it is possible to run across a unique pathway that arrives to a dark cavern, accessible only by boat, called Blue Grotto due to the electric bl ue colour of its water.

During the summer, the island becomes a luxury destination populated of yachts for a swim close to the famous Faraglioni, oceanic rock formations eroded by waves. Overlooking the sea, you can admire Punta Carena lighthouse, an imposing structure ( the second in Italy for dimensions) , which had since first century guided ships during the night.

The island of Ischia is a volcanic island, bigger than Capri and famous for its mineral- rich thermal waters, spas, volcanic mud and valuable minerals. Considered a relaxing island because of its spa complexes, Ischia is ideal for people that desire an escape from the stress of the city.

For visitors interested in gardens, our suggestion is “La Mortella”, a landscape garden. The garden’s designer was Russel Page and his aim was to create a landscape to offer peace and beauty. The garden hosts over 800 plant varieties, a steel fountain, pools and cascades. The island is divided into quarters: the town of Sant’Angelo with its characteristics boutiques and local pottery, Forio known for its bars, Port of Ischia for ferries and for the majestic Castello Aragonese, linked to the island from a stone bridge and also visible from the famous Cartaromana beach.

Boat Trips in Italy: Positano and Amalfi

The Amalfi coast is consider ed by UNESCO a Mediterranean landscape. Coming from Naples, Positano is the first town of the Amalfi coast.

Looking at Positano from the sea, it seems like a painting in watercolors for its multiple shades: the green of Lattari mountains in the background, the white, yellow and pink of the houses, the silver grey of its pebble beaches and the blue of the sea. Positano is known for its local small boutiques and has numerous villas built by the ancient Romans.

Amalfi, which gives the name to the coast, was between the 9th and 11th century, and was a maritime republic and a powerful city. In the heart of the town stands out the majestic Arab-Norman Sant’Andrea Cathedral, with a bizantine facade and at only 60m we find also the famous Heaven’s Cloisters. Amalfi has also a long history of the production of paper exhibited at the Paper Museum.
